Apsara
History : The heavenly Apsara originates from the epic Hindu story "The Churning of the Sea of Milk". Legend says the celestial dancers performed in the courts of gods and kings. Among the temples of Angkor, their gracious forms are among the most treasured, and thousands adorn the magnificient sandstone walls of Angkor Wat.
The complex dances performed in Apsara costume have come to represent Cambodia's wondrous past.
